At My Handy Chap, we believe in being upfront and fair. You’ll always know what you’re paying before we start – no hidden extras, no unexpected add-ons.

💼 Pricing & Terms 

⏱️ Hourly Rate – £38/hr (2-hour minimum)

Ideal for small jobs such as hanging pictures, fitting shelves, or putting up curtain rails.

🛠️ Half Day (up to 4 hrs) – £140

Perfect if you’ve got several jobs to tick off in one visit – from flatpack furniture to garden tidy-ups.

📋 Full Day (up to 7 hrs) – £250

Best value for larger projects or longer to-do lists that need care and attention.

🚨 Emergency Call-Outs – £40 call-out + £45/hr (evenings & weekends)

For urgent issues that can’t wait – fast response and reliable service.

🔁 Regular & Ongoing Work

Ongoing or repeat work is usually priced on a job-by-job basis to ensure fair and transparent pricing.

🧱 Materials & Supplies

Any materials required for your job are charged at cost and simply passed on to you.

🚗 Travel & Fuel Costs

Jobs within 10 miles of Exeter are included. For work outside this area, travel is charged at 50p per mile.

📅 Invoicing for Longer Jobs

For projects that run over more than one week, invoices are issued weekly for work completed. This helps you keep track of costs and supports the smooth running of my small business.

We’re open Monday to Saturday, with occasional Sunday afternoons available too. Early starts and evening appointments can be arranged to fit around your schedule.

I’m often booked ahead, but life (and the Devon weather!) can create last-minute changes. When slots open up, I offer them first to clients who already have work scheduled in.
